The United Way Volunteer Action Center is offering a new program called the Business Volunteer Network. The group provides resources and networking opportunities to local companies that run employee volunteer programs. The group is open to businesses of all sizes with established volunteer programs, as well as to companies interested in implementing a new program.

Please join the United Way of Southwestern
Indiana Business Volunteer Network (BVN) in celebrating diversity and community service in the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

BVN is organizing a bookfair to promote literacy by providing books for women and children in local shelters.
Saturday, January 17, 2009 > 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Sunday, January 18, 2009 >10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Barnes & Noble Booksellers

Evansville, Indiana 47715

During the bookfair, we have organized a special story time on Saturday at 3 p.m. Mizell Stewart, III of the Courier & Press will read stories in the children's section at Barnes & Noble.

Your purchases, accompanied by this voucher, will help buy books for women and children at these United Way Partner Agencies:

Albion Fellows Bacon Center
Crisis Connection
Good will Family Shelter
YWCA

Barnes & Noble Booksellers will donate a percentage of the net sale of every purchase made with a voucher to the United Way of Southwestern Indiana Business Volunteer Network (BVN). BVN will use the donation to provide books to women and children in programs at the agencies listed above.

*The purchase of gift cards and membership cards are not included in bookfair totals.
